Peter Macgregor Wilson

Scottish watercolourist and oil painter of portraits, genre scenes, landscapes, marine and animal studies. He was educated at the Glasgow School of Art and later in both London and Antwerp. Having lived in Edinburgh for some years Macgregor Wilson returned to his native city in 1882 to assume the post of President of the Glasgow Art Club. He became a full member of the Royal Scottish Watercolour Society (R.S.W.) in 1885 resigning in 1926. Macgregor Wilson exhibited over sixty watercolours with the R.S.W, and exhibited at both the Royal Scottish Academy and at the Royal Academy (London)
